I have been working as a photographer, cameraman and director since 1970. During many journeys I have built up an extensive archive.

I would describe my work as documentary photography, with people at the centre of my interest. Temporal sequences, spatial contexts and narrative moments always play an important role. India occupies a prominent place in my work. However, on the following pages you will also find images taken in Asia, North and South America and Europe. I give references to my books and films. This website is not an online archive. Enquiries are always welcome.
