A comprehensive package of this rare archival material is available as a 4 DVD set for the use of educational and research institutions as well as individual scholars and teachers.

This archival material (30 hours) was restored and transferred to DVD (6 hours) by Henning Stegmueller, who worked with Sontheimer on his last two documentary features. As for the cinema films Sontheimer shot, he would observe them again and again to describe folk festivals, rituals, songs and dances, and other performances that created the kind of evidence fellow-scholars would accept in research papers, books, seminars, symposia, and conferences.
